OPTONE has expanded its 400G QSFP-DD portfolio with SR8 and LR4 models for high-density Ethernet deployments. The additions give network operators a consistent sourcing and compatibility program across short multimode and 10km single-mode links.
Two practical reach options
The 400G QSFP-DD SR8 uses eight 50G lanes over OM4 multimode fiber for links up to 100 meters. The LR4 model uses four 100G PAM4 optical lanes on duplex single-mode fiber and supports links up to 10 kilometers.
Qualification and compatibility
Both products support digital diagnostics and are available with coding for major switch platforms. Each production batch is tested for transmit power, receive sensitivity, temperature, bit error performance and EEPROM compatibility.
Availability
Engineering samples and volume orders are available now. Customers can request target switch coding, compliance documents and test reports from the OPTONE sales engineering team.
